Work In Progress Wednesday - Back to the Overlapping Necklace Links

I last posted about this three weeks ago, these patterns really do take me ages to
design. This is my most recent attempt. You may remember from my previous
post that I needed to make the end loops a little larger, and so this try has a
bigger curve at the sides and a long flat top:

I think I took this a little too far. There would be more than enough room inside that loop, but so much so that the resulting necklace would be way too loose as a whole for my liking. My work this time round wasn't a complete bust though, I did incorporate this slow curve into the straight section on the top that I'm a little bit in love with:

I'm definitely going to work something along this line into the final pattern. All being well, it should make the difference between links that wrap around one another to links that fit together. I had meant to do more work on this today, but I've had to postpone that since I think I'm suffering from a bit of RSI. I'm getting some pain in my hands and my shoulders are sore. I know this is exacerbated by the dislocation move I've been practising at my trapeze lessons, and probably more by the fact that I'm typing this on a laptop on my knee, but the crocheting is where I'm suffering most. I even gave myself a (small) break yesterday by crocheting in wool for a while, but to no avail. More rest and plenty stretching ahoy. And maybe I ought to get a desk. And a standard size keyboard. The list goes on. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone else's WIPs though,
I shall crochet vicariously through you.
